Since partnering with reality giant Renegade 83 in July 2003, Maira Suro has already launched the company's first mega-hit scripted series for USA network.   "The 4400" is a hi-concept drama that centers on a larger than life event which forever changes life as we know it.   The initial six episode limited series had the highest rated premiere episode in cable television history, and the complete series was the most watched show on cable in 2004.   Season two of "THE 4400" premiered June 5 th 2005 with more record-breaking numbers, making it the highest rated scripted program on cable of the year.   In addition, Suro has several other high profile television projects at play at both network and cable.

Suro's previous partnership with Francis Ford Coppola ran from July 2001 to July 2003. During that time she produced the acclaimed hip-hop drama series "Platinum", which aired on UPN this past Spring, produced a pilot for The WB ("In My Life"), and set-up numerous series projects, several of which are still in active development.

From November 1997 - November 2000 Suro was Senior Vice-President of Drama Development at UPN.   During that tenure, she shepherded more than 40 scripts and was instrumental in working with and launching series for high-caliber talent like Tom Fontana, Michael Connelly and Joel Silver.

Prior to UPN, Suro was the Vice-President of Series Development for Spelling Entertainment Group, where she developed several series, including WB hits "7 th Heaven" and "Charmed."

Suro's television experience started at Columbia Pictures Television as Manager of Drama Development, where she developed 1-hour series as well as movies-of-the-week and mini-series.   She was then hired at CBS as the Director of Drama Development, where she developed over 100 hour scripts and supervised more than 25 pilots, including subsequent series "Chicago Hope" and "Touched By an Angel."

Suro is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a BA in Sociology.
